ABOUT ME
Biologist first, pattern designer second. I say that because my long journey studying biology shaped the way in which I see the world and the way I design. Not only do I love designing florals, but also my florals are rooted in existing plants.
My patterns usually involve beautiful and out of the ordinary species, from different corners of the earth; wildflowers being my favourites to draw.
My patterns are a mixture of romantic, boho and vintage styles, bordering the cottagecore aestethic.
My inspiration comes from nature, of course, but also from movements and styles inspired by nature, like botanical illustrations, vintage book covers and the “Arts & Crafts movement”. I don’t rely only on my personal taste and experience; I am always paying attention to the upcoming trends. You can follow my trend research and see all my inspirations on Pinterest.
All drawings are handmade using mixed techniques: watercolour, coloured pencils and ink pen. I am also experimenting on pressing flowers to make patterns out of them.
